texas is forever

i was really excited about this one shirt i bought so here's a post for it

during hurricane harvey, i found out that the ptvmerch site (merch site for pierce the veil- my favorite band) was selling a "texas is forever" shirt which made me wonder if it was bc of hurricane harvey or bc ptv has a song called "texas is forever" (it was both). the donations would go to help hurricane harvey efforts & you know, i'm in texas, tryna get some texas shirts & this one is from my favorite band so how cool is that??? plus it was only $18, compared to the usual $20+ of merch shirts, so i convinced myself to buy it- even when plus shipping made it out to be $21 ("it's for a good cause" i told myself)

it said it wouldn't ship until september 15 & by then hurricane harvey was over but i was still excited af to get it. when i finally did, i saw that it was a little big (as it always is w an unisex adult small) so today, when i finally decided to wear it, i had to tuck it in. even tho i hate tucking in my shirts, i gotta admit, some things just look 100% better when you tuck them

also i was excited bc this shirt is red & white which would match my (new-ish) red & white vans & bright red "saigon" matte lipstick perfectly

i've got more colourpop purchases to blog about! so, as some of you may or may not know, i don't really wear make up. but ever since january 2015, i've developed an interest in lipsticks. it started off w red & now has grown to maroons/burgundys/wines. so when i saw that colourpop was having a "buy 2 get 1 free," i knew i had to check it out. my package finally arrived (delayed by hurricane harvey) so i finally get to share them w you guys

so i started off w really wanting Saigon bc 1. it's red & 2. saigon is a city in vietnam. from there, i just looked for the darker colors bc there were a lot of light pinks (which i don't wear). eventually, i found the colors Avenue (which reminds me of the band every avenue) & Circles (which remind me the songs circles by hollywood undead & circles by pierce the veil)

when looking at the colors, Circles & Avenue look really similar, but on my skin, i can see that avenue has more of a brown tint to dull it down while circles has a bit more purple in it

honestly, i probably don't need any more reds/maroons/burgundys/wine lipsticks or i'm going to end up w 100 lipsticks w the same few shades. but what can i say, these were matte & from colourpop!

recently, i was on twitter & saw ^this post. i've always wanted some ivory ella products so i decided to check it out. so i went on & saw these "boyfriend t-shirt hoodies" that were super cute & they were 50% off. usually they are $39 (+ shipping) but on that day, they were $19.99 (not including shipping). & since it was my first time on ivory ella, they sent me a 10% off code which would have made it $18. then i found a different promo code & it turned to $17. & the shipping was $7.49 which isn't the cheapest but i was like, okay, that's a pretty good deal compared to $39 (+ shipping) which would have been around $48. so i yolo'd & bought it. & it just came in the mail today.

when i was ordering my boyfriend t-shirt hoodie, i was debating btwn a purple & a sky blue one & ended up choosing sky blue. however, there was only a size medium, no smalls. but i like big shirts so i figured it would be fine. & when i opened the package, it was actually a lot bigger than i thought it would be, but at the same time i love it bc now it's like a dress & i could wear it w leggings.

honestly, i'm pretty happy w it bc it's big & comfy & the color is really nice. also, the little cards & stickers they send w the package are so cute i just love it all. 

victoria secret purchases!

my mom always buys my stuff from victoria secret bc i don't usually like to go into the store but today, she bought some bras/bralettes for $10 & told me to go find some for myself.

if you shop at victoria secret, you'd know that when there's some kind of sale/special & you come late to the party, there isn't much left to choose from. however, i managed to snag a few cute pieces today.

forever 21 purchases!

i just came back from the mall w a cute new outfit from forever 21.

at forever 21, the jeans are usually $9.90. i'm not a fan of most of them but the black ones were pretty cute & i needed new black skinny jeans.

while helping my sister find new shirts, i found one for myself for $15.90. it's a cute, white, little button-up blouse w the words "leave me alone" stitched on over the front pocket which is so me.

together, the pieces make up a simple, but cute, outfit. separately, i could wear the blouse w any jeans & the jeans w almost every shirt i have. i'm pretty happy w today's purchases :)

colourpop | purchases

a couple of days ago, i saw a post on twitter talking about how colourpop was having some kind of valentine's day deal- buy $15 or more & get free shipping. now, usually i don't wear make-up other than lipstick but i decided to have a look anyways. 

i ended up purchasing 2 items & they finally came. 

now, my lips always get dry whenever i wear my lipsticks so when i saw this "lippie primer" (below, left), i thought wow i probably should check this out.

i also wanted to buy a lippie that actually had color so i chose the darkest color out of my three maybes- "only you" (below, right) which is described as a mocha color.

i haven't tried either one just yet but i'm really excited to & hopefully they don't disappoint.

if you use colourpop, have any experiences w it, or have a favorite product, don't be afraid to comment & let me know. i would love any suggestions :)
