ever since i bought this baseball shirt, i had this outfit in my head & just needed a pair of white vans. well recently, i went to the mall & got myself some & i was very excited. however, i am dumb & i wore them to my silkscreen studio class. i figured it would be ok bc i wasn't going to be working w ink but i forgot that i would be working w screen filler (something that you shouldn't wear white around). by the end of the day i had little pink/red splatters on my brand new white shoes & i was very upset

i went home & tried to clean it off but no luck so i tried to bleach it. apparently i didn't dilute the bleach enough bc it yellowed/discolored my shoes & i was even more upset. so i found out how to get rid of most of the discoloration (baking soda + water) & while the screen filler spots aren't out, & the shoes might not be as white as they were, at least the discoloration is gone

moral of the story is that sam can't wear white shoes

can you guys guess what my favorite holiday is? 

i know there's a lot of bad that could be said about America's independence day but i just really love dressing up in red, white, & blue & i absolutely love love love fireworks. they're so beautiful & make me so happy

i didn't plan on having a great fourth of july bc we didn't really have any plans but we ended up hanging out w friends & eating crawfish & independence day cupcakes

at the end of the day we walked around my neighborhood in search of the fireworks that we kept hearing. we found some so we sat on the curb & watched my favorite part of the holiday (i actually recorded them bc we knew they were going to do a big finale, in which they set off a bunch at once)

needless to say, my night was made. i got to wear a cute outfit, eat until i was going to explode, & see fireworks. we managed to make the best out of a potentially boring & rainy day. happy independence day everyone!

townelake photoshoot w christy

i think by now, you guys know that i love having photoshoots at townelake. so when my cousin, christy, came to visit, i had to bring her there. i wanted her to try a thousand hills bc she loves coffee but i figured it would also be the perfect day to have a photoshoot too

christy went for a sporty look (i would have died wearing a jacket tho- it was too hot out!) & i attempted to take nice portraits & tried to be creative w the setting i was in

after some photos, we went into a thousand hills. christy got a cinnamon latte, brenda got a blueberry tea, & i got the caramel drizzle brownie (as i always do)

we took a second to cool down inside before continuing our photoshoot outside of a thousand hills, at the tables

we went home & snapped a couple of shots together in front of my garage. i figured we should get a couple of pictures together since i only see her once or twice a year, & we were both wearing black & white so it'd be cute

guess who had (another) photoshoot at townelake? this girl! (2 photoshoots over spring break? crazy, i know) 

accompanied by blenda & paulskie, i practiced using manual mode on my camera & working on portraits

i was lucky enough to have 2 willing models & even though the photos weren't great, they were good practice

brenda also took some cute pictures for paul & i even though we're awkward & can't think of poses

overall, the photoshoot at townelake was a pretty nice time w "good times" & "great vibes"

guess who had another photoventure w allison & anthony? this girl!

it's spring break & anthony & brenda had never been to coco's crepes before so we made some plans. anthony, alli, brenda, peter, & i went to coco's for brunch & had a photoshoot at vintage park

alli was dressed super cute & was an amazing model. i've been wanting to work on taking pictures & on portraits so this was good practice. i think some of the pictures turned out pretty great

we took some pictures in front of the fountain that vintage park is known for 

we walked around to find some cool places we could take pictures at

it was such a good day full of yummy crepes & cute pictures. gang gang
